Since its inception, the e-Government Services Department is set to bring about the e-government programme within the ambitious programme of the government of the Emirate of Sharjah through improving the traditional performance of the directorate in terms of efficient provision of the service by using the most advanced technologies, minimising the time required for completing transactions and helping the recipient of the service gain a high degree of satisfaction.

The department is also set to ensure integration and co-ordination among the different government authorities with the aim of boosting the efficiency and performance of the directorate and employees and enabling customers gain maximum degrees of satisfaction.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and developing the technical specifications and standards for the required e-government systems and databases and applying them in the Information Technology Department.
  • Combining the government and private sectors under one umbrella.
  • Providing modern and accurate information on the provided e-services.
  • Supervising the online exchange of documents and information.
  • Providing a 7-day-per-week, 24-hour-per-day service.
