Introduction:

  Within the frame work of the enlightened project prevailing  in sharjah Emirate, and with the encouragement of  His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi members of the supreme council of the United Arab Emirates , the Ruler of Sharajh , the pilot of the said project , the Directorate of planning and survey with the co-operation of sharjah University and University of South Bank  (U.K) were holding an annual Symposium on Urban Development planning .The symposiums topics were  varing  year after year in order to contain all facets of such vital sector.

 Such attitude is intended for the circulation of benefits and to enrich the professional practices with theoretical, intellectual as well as global experiences. Also, for our cities to cross the threshold of he third millennium with more willing and readiness in the face of the upheaval change around us.
