  • Using the latest geographical information systems and software in the fields of urban planning, survey and services.
  • Supervising the information technology centre and providing maintenance to the computer machines and internal networks.
  • Studying and preparing the different computer system software and tracking the companies and bids related to information systems.
  • Discharging the task of training all the staff of the Directorate of Town Planning and Survey in the advanced systems of the geographic information.
  • Co-ordinating and co-operating with the government department of the Government of Sharjah through the e-government project enabling efforts and capabilities to be integrated within a unified system combining these directorates in a bid to realise the volume economics and upgrade the standard of services.
  • Developing the daily operations and tracking the possibility of changing handwork by using the system’s capabilities.
  • Representing the directorate in the conferences and workshops related to the centre’s work.
