This department is regarded as one of the administrative arms of the Land Allocation and Compensation Committee in the Emirate of Sharjah. It was established under the decision of the Sharjah Executive Council no. (17) for 2006.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Conducting the studies related to the type and amount of the compensation due to be paid to the harmed party as a result of removing or demolishing his building for implementing a new structural plan or a new project for basic services based on the value of his real estate at the time of assessment.
• Preparing lists of the numbers and names of owners of plots of land and determining the actually affected area of these plots.
• Proposing the fixing of the affected land as the result of planning projects.
• Working out proposals to locate lands for use in in-kind compensation and submitting these proposals to the committee.
• Carefully listing all the transactions that have been compensated and dilapidated in the old areas so as to avoid the existence buildings that are about to collapse in the centre of cities of the Emirate of Sharjah besides inputting these transactions and their plans in the computer.
